El Segundo Youth Drama presents the Tony-Award winning musical "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" this Thursday. Based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel, "Drood" features a loony Victorian theatre troupe who tells the story of Edwin Drood and his mysterious disappearance on a stormy Christmas Eve. Filled with murder, mystery, and mayhem, this hilarious whodunnit gets even zanier as the cast invites the audience to vote on the conclusion and finish where Dickens left off.
The show boasts a beautiful score, including "The Wage of Sin," "Both Sides of the Coin," and the hauntingly beautiful "Moonfall." Director Kristie Rutledge helms the production, with Chris Luthi musically directing and Lauren Blair choreographing.
