The Norris Center for the Performing Arts makes magic with the holiday classic "A Christmas Carol," playing through December 27th in Rolling Hills Estates.Alan Menken (Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime the Musical, Once on This Island) have created a fresh new musical treatment of Dicken's famous story. I had the opportunity to check out the production Sunday afternoon and was enchanted from start to finish. The presentation featured several great South Bay actors whose rich voices and acting chops brought a special warmth to the beloved Holiday classic. Kudos to the technical crew as well for a stunning production that has more dazzle than you'd expect for a local production.
If you're looking for a fresh twist on a classic show, check out "A Christmas Carol" at the Norris. The trip up the Hill is totally worth it!
